Walking for Health
Every May the charity Living Streets celebrates National Walking Month, where everyone across the country is encouraged to put on some comfy shoes and feel the benefits of walking only 20 minutes every day throughout the month.
Last year the campaign saw thousands of people across the UK take to their feet and walk 20 minutes everyday, feeling the benefits of weight loss, increased overall fitness and an improved social life.
It’s a free, fun and easy way to improve your health. Not only does it aid in weight loss, it also lowers your risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes and depression.
With walking being one of the cheapest, easiest and most effective forms of exercise, ditch that car and get laced up for May.
